Willow Creek Ranch

Burns, Oregon

Holey Associates designed this 4,000 square foot residence on a 500-acre site in the high plateau region of Eastern Oregon. The property abuts the Bureau of Land Management property, placing it truly in the middle of nowhere.  Wild horses roam the BLM property and during Fall and Winter herds of elk and antelope can frequently be found grazing through the property. The Owner requested that the residence accommodate visitors arriving at the front door on horseback wearing spurs, in addition to a cozy suite for their children’s grandmother.  The project incorporated native materials from the site wherever possible, including Juniper trunks and lumber, stone for the fireplaces and stucco using local material as additive.
