Two abutting lots perched 100 feet above a very large body of water (read ocean) was the setting for this conceptual design study.  Holey Associates developed a modern concept that created a main house on one property and a guest house on the adjacent property connected by landscape a bridges to maintain the independent lots. The concept accentuates the drama of the site with a multi-functional water element that is indistinguishable from and becomes one with the ocean…and supports swimming, hot tub and water harvesting for landscape irrigation.  The master bedroom hangs from beneath the main plaza level with a glass floor at the perimeter of the room that offers the awesome perspective of the crashing surf beneath ones feet.
